The Government of Bihar is taking progressive steps in the field of Information Technology by working with a multi-pronged approach to encourage investment in the state

New Delhi: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Festival were organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), Government of India (GoI) at the India Habitat Center in New Delhi. The Department of Information Technology (DIT) of the Government of Bihar has also been a participant in the two-day Amrit Festival organized. An IT enabled stall (stall no. 18 & 19) was also set up by DIT which was equipped with a digital kiosk, QR code and much more at the above mentioned site.
The overarching idea behind participating in this event is to showcase the achievements with respect to e-governance and good governance, which has been a key factor in the growth of the IT sector in Bihar. On the concluding day of the function, Mr. Abhishek Singh (IAS), President and CEO Digital India and NeGD, Mr. Vinay Thakur, COO, NEGD and Mr. Prakash Kumar Wadhwani, CEO Wadhwani Foundation visited the stall of DIT, Government of Bihar and visited the stall. Appreciated the way the department displayed its initiative.
