Atul Katarya Memorial School held its Investiture Ceremony
Lt. Atul Katarya Memorial School held its Investiture Ceremony on 7th May, 2025 with great zeal, marking a significant day in the school calendar as student leaders for the academic session 2025–26 were formally entrusted with their responsibilities.
The event commenced with a solemn floral tribute to honor the memory and legacy of Lt. Atul Katarya, a brave son of the nation who laid down his life in the line of duty, followed by a heartfelt welcome song by the school choir, extending a warm reception to the Hon’ble Management, teachers, parents, and students. The solemnity of the occasion was further elevated by the impressive March Past by the newly elected council members that showcased discipline and unity. The ceremony witnessed the formal announcement and pinning of badges to the Head Boy, Tanuj Purva and Head Girl, Shubhanjali Chakrvarty of class 12 followed by the Sports Captains – Vivek Faujdar and Tamanna Yadav of class 12 and the respective deputies. Leadership across the four school houses—Nehru, Subhash, Pratap, and Tagore—was established with the appointment of House Captains and Vice Captains for both boys and girls.
Further, the school’s student leadership was expanded with the induction of the Activity Captains, Student Editors for English and Hindi, Assistant Editors, and a broad representation of prefects from Grades 1 to 12. Each of them was honoured with official scarves and badges in recognition of their new responsibilities.
The Principal, Mrs. Mukti Suhag, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, highlighting the essence of leadership and responsibility. Her words set the tone for a year of dedication and excellence. This was followed by a motivating address from the Honourable Chairman, Col. Dhanraj Katarya, who encouraged students to lead with integrity and vision and never forget that the council, though elected from among the students, is a part of the student community and not any different. The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Vice Principal Ms. Anita Singh, acknowledging the efforts of all staff members, students, and parents in making the ceremony a grand success.
The Investiture Ceremony was a momentous event, not only celebrating student achievement but also reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing future leaders of the nation.
