Greater Noida, : Sharda Hospital, a leading NABH-accredited Super Specialty Hospital in Greater Noida, will host AyuSharda 2025 on September 23–24, 2025, to mark seven years of the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), and to ensure that its benefits reach patients seamlessly. The two-day national conference and advanced workshop will bring together senior healthcare professionals, administrators, policy experts, and government representatives to exchange knowledge and address operational challenges in scheme implementation. By highlighting the pivotal role of private hospitals in delivering accessible and affordable healthcare, the event reaffirms Sharda Hospital’s commitment to advancing equitable, patient-centric healthcare in line with the Government of India’s vision.
The two-day AyuSharda 2025 conference has been designed to provide hospitals with practical knowledge for the effective implementation of AB-PMJAY. Day 1 will feature sessions on the fundamentals of Ayushman Bharat, digital health integration, ethical challenges in free healthcare, and the role of private hospitals, followed by a CME on respiratory diseases and a cultural evening. Day 2 will focus on operational workflows including card creation, eligibility checks, claim processing, grievance redressal, live demonstrations of patient workflows, and a virtual tour of Ayushman Bharat care at Sharda Hospital, before concluding with participant feedback and certification.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. P.K. Gupta, Chairman, Sharda Hospital, said:
“At Sharda Hospital, we believe healthcare should be inclusive and accessible to all. Over the last seven years, Ayushman Bharat has transformed the way millions of Indians approach healthcare, and we are proud to be among its earliest partners. Through the AyuSharda Conference, we aim to not only share best practices but also build capacity for future challenges in healthcare delivery—be it digital integration, specialized treatment pathways, or patient-centric innovations. This platform reaffirms our dedication to strengthening India’s health ecosystem in alignment with the Government’s vision of affordable and equitable healthcare for all.”
Adding further, Dr. (Brigadier) Ram Murti Sharma, Medical Superintendent, Sharda Hospital, said:
“The Ayushman Bharat scheme has immense potential to bridge healthcare gaps for vulnerable communities. At Sharda Hospital, we have already treated thousands of beneficiaries across specialties such as oncology, nephrology, general surgery, and respiratory medicine. With AyuSharda 2025, we want to equip healthcare providers with hands-on learning—from card creation to claim processing—and promote dialogue on pressing challenges such as workforce capacity, ethical concerns, and public–private collaboration. By doing so, we are ensuring that hospitals across India are better prepared to extend high-quality, seamless, and dignified care to every beneficiary.”
As one of the earliest empanelled hospitals under Ayushman Bharat, Sharda Hospital has emerged as a trusted hub for patients across Western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR. Every month, over 1,200 Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries receive treatment at Sharda Hospital, spanning specialties like dialysis, oncology, general surgery, respiratory medicine, and general medicine. Services most utilized include laparoscopic surgeries, cancer treatment (cervix, oral, breast, liver), chronic disease management, and advanced diagnostics such as CT, MRI, PET CT, CT-guided intervention, DSA, and histopathological investigations. About one-third of the hospital’s Ayushman patients are senior citizens, with significant demand for care in chronic and life-threatening conditions.
With 80% of services now paperless and 100% cashless for beneficiaries, Sharda Hospital continues to integrate digital innovations to improve efficiency. Beyond this, the hospital’s super-specialty offerings in cardiology, nephrology, orthopedics, oncology, neurology, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, dentistry, and plastic & reconstructive surgery have enabled it to provide holistic treatment under the scheme. While recognizing these achievements, Sharda Hospital continues to address challenges such as prolonged ICU stays leading to increased cost of care particularly in elderly patient, while leveraging patient data research to identify health trends and develop preventive strategies for the community.
By hosting AyuSharda 2025, Sharda Hospital not only commemorates the journey of Ayushman Bharat but also sets the stage for shaping its future. The conference underscores the power of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation in ensuring that every citizen—irrespective of socio-economic background—can access quality healthcare. With this initiative, Sharda Hospital reaffirms its position as a frontrunner in advancing universal health coverage and building a resilient healthcare system for India.
